Severe Toothache

Persistent, intense tooth pain that won't go away can indicate infection or decay requiring immediate attention.

Broken or Chipped Tooth

Fractured, cracked, or broken teeth from injury or biting down on something hard.

Knocked-Out Tooth

A tooth that's been completely dislodged due to trauma. Time is critical—call us immediately.

Abscessed Tooth

A painful infection at the root of a tooth or between the gum and tooth that can spread if untreated.

Lost Filling or Crown

A missing filling or crown can leave your tooth vulnerable and cause pain or sensitivity.

Soft Tissue Injury

Cuts, lacerations, or puncture wounds to the lips, cheeks, gums, or tongue that won't stop bleeding.

What to Do in a Dental Emergency

Before you arrive at our office, here are some steps you can take to manage your emergency:

Call Us Immediately

Contact our office at (727) 441-3523 as soon as possible. We'll provide guidance and schedule an emergency appointment.

For a Knocked-Out Tooth

Rinse the tooth gently, place it back in the socket if possible, or keep it moist in milk or saliva. See us within 30 minutes for the best chance of saving it.

For a Toothache

Rinse your mouth with warm salt water, floss gently to remove debris, and take over-the-counter pain reliever. Avoid aspirin directly on gums.

For Broken Teeth

Rinse your mouth with warm water, save any pieces if possible, and apply a cold compress to reduce swelling.

Control Bleeding

Apply gauze to the area with gentle pressure for 10 minutes. If bleeding doesn't stop, seek immediate medical attention.

Manage Pain & Swelling

Apply a cold compress to the outside of your cheek for 10-15 minutes to reduce swelling and numb the area.
